Apple’s New 27-Inch iMac Will Feature a Mini-LED Display, Rumor Says

The rumor mills are predicting the new iMac will feature the same design as the M1 iMac from 2021. This is in line with the design Apple made last year for the iMac Pro, but it does not seem to be the case with the 27-inch model. Despite this rumor mill’s predictions, Apple will likely stick to the larger models’ square design.

DigiTimes report contradicts every other leak

Apple’s new 27-inch iMac is expected to launch sometime in spring 2022. This could be either in March or April, depending on how the season unfolds in your part of the world. 업테크 If it does launch during that time, the new iMac will likely feature a mini-LED display. The rumor mill has been buzzing with anticipation about the upcoming 27-inch iMac, and a new rumor has come from Display Supply Chain Consultants CEO Ross Young.

The DigiTimes report contradicts every other leak regarding the new iMac. Interestingly, the report says that the 27-inch iMac will have a mini-LED display, which is contrary to a previous leak that claimed the new model would have a traditional LCD panel. Moreover, it says that the mini-LED display on the new iMac will be 30 to 40 percent brighter than its predecessors.

Mini-LED display

According to Digitimes, Apple is planning to introduce a 27-inch iMac with a mini-LED display next year. The source of this report is Ross Young, who has an excellent track record of accurately predicting Apple’s supply chain commitments. While the source has not revealed the exact specifications, the report suggests the device will be available in the first half of 2022. While Young has yet to confirm this report, he has cited other reliable sources to confirm the information.

According to Apple consultant Ross Young, Apple will introduce the 2022 iMac with a mini-LED display sometime in October. He expects Apple to move the production of this item from Quanta to a different location and supplier. He also says that this new display will look stunning when it launches in Spring 2022. However, this report may be premature and Apple might still introduce an iMac with a conventional LED display before the fall.

M1 Pro

The upcoming iMac Pro 2022 is expected to come in different variants. The entry-level model of the iMac will have 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD. If you want to upgrade to the Pro version, you will need 16GB of RAM. The base model will come with SD card slots and HDMI ports. There will also be a few USB-C/Thunderbolt ports, and Apple may even be working on its own chipset. The Apple M2 could be an upcoming chip that will be found in the MacBook Air. However, it is likely that the M1 Pro will be superior to the M1 Max.

The M1 MacBook Pro comes in 13-inch, 14-inch, and 16-inch models. The processors in these models replace the Intel Core i9 chip. The smaller 13-inch model comes with a much thinner, lighter design, while the 16-inch version boasts a larger screen. It is the perfect portable video editing machine for the filmmakers and photographers who are always on the go. The display of the M1 Pro is also better than that of the iMac 27-inch model.

M1 Max processors

The next-generation iMac Pro could feature a new chip called the M1 Max Duo with up to 64 graphics cores and twenty CPU cores. The chip could be a combination of two M1 Max chips and feature up to 128GB of RAM. Apple has been blowing away the competition with its M1 Max processors since last year and will use these in its 2022 iMac 27 inch.

The M1 Max chip will be Apple’s first processor based on this architecture. The new chip will have eight high-performance cores and two high-efficiency cores. Apple claims this chip will be significantly faster than the original M1 chip which featured four high-performance cores and four efficiency cores. The M1 Max chip is available in two variants – one with a 32-core GPU and a 24-core chip. The latter is available only as a build-to-order option.

Apple silicon chips

While the iMac Pro might not be the next iMac, it might be the last. According to leaker Dylan, the new model could launch as soon as spring. Apple is expected to release the iPhone SE in March and the iPad Air in April. Besides a new iMac Pro, Apple will also release a new high-end Mac mini in 2023. Despite being the last iMac model, it’s expected to feature a new high-end chip, which will be much faster than the M1 Max processor.

The M2 chip is expected to go into the new MacBook Air, but there’s also a chance that it could end up in the next iMac 27 inch. The M2 chip is more suited for consumer machines and provides a performance boost over the M1 chip. The M1 chip is also expected to come in two different sizes, with the smaller 27 inch iMac likely using the larger one.

Price

The 2022 iMac 27-inch price will start at $2,000. That price will include a 512-GB SSD and 16GB of RAM. But if you want a more powerful machine, you’ll need to upgrade to a higher-end model. Apple has not announced a launch date for the 2022 iMac, but it’s expected to arrive sometime in March. If you’re interested in purchasing one, the most likely launch date is sometime during the second half of this year.

The price and performance combination of the current iMac is right at the sweet spot. Other Apple gear is close to this, but the 27-inch model is a far better option. Adding a second display would ruin the slim aesthetic and make it less attractive for production work. Instead, Apple’s engineers have opted to put a 1080p FaceTime HD camera into the iMac. However, it is too early to tell whether or not the iMac 27-inch will include this feature.
